When you "open your heart" do you open just the front side? Can you soften and also open the back side of your heart, of your ribcage?

The back side of the body tends to be harder than the front side. This week we'll practice opening the back side of our ribcage. We'll soften, open, and feel on all sides.

Join us in a Bowspring class! Drop-ins are $12.

"Forced actions
Lose their way.
Going against the Tao,
They collapse."
from verse 30 of Tao Te Ching: A New Version for All Seekers by Guy Leekley

Our Bowspring practice is primal, animal-like. Without forcing we move from within. Each person's pose, position, or movement is different.

Enjoy moving without forcing this week in class. We'll go deep into subtle positions and movements to create greater openings and to strengthen the muscles that bring us into a healthier alignment. Drop-ins are $12.

Apples and Apple Cores - Weekly Theme

The apples here in North Carolina are beginning to ripen on the trees. It's a good time to use the analogy of apples to align our bodies. We can think of our ribcage, hips, and head as apples and our waist/belly and neck as apple cores. We expand our "apples" in all directions as we narrow and elongate our "apple cores."

Join us this week as we think of apples and align our bodies. Bowspring!
